The membership of the Society shall be opened to:

• Any civilian employee of the Ministry of Defence (nationwide) admitted in accordance with these Bye-Laws.
• Any retired civilian staff of the Ministry of Defence (nationwide) who was a member of the society before retirement provided that such retired member shall not be eligible for any. Elective position and may not be allowed to incur liability in excess of credit balance with the Society.
• Any posted or transferred member to other Federal Ministries or Federal Establishments (nationwide) may retain membership of the Society if so desired, such posted/transferred member shall not be eligible for any elective position and may not be allowed to incur liability in excess of credit balance with the Society. When and where the salary of such member is being remitted to the Society through the office of the Accountant General of the Federation, such member shall be considered for all categories of loans only.
• All members of the society must be of good character at all

The cooperative society that started with few members at its inception has grown to over 6,074 members as at today even after having so many challenges but waxing stronger as each new management brought in their dynamism.
